Fantastic reception for tine@munch
What both the festival audience and the participants commented on was the incredible response. It seemed the audience really enjoyed the diversity in seeing more classically oriented concerts during the day, and the more informal "Late Night" concerts. They got to enjoy world stars perform in different combinations, and with a wide variety of repertoire. British Classic FM was present during the festival, and interviewed several of the participants as well as filming small snippets from the concerts. The five minute long segment can be seen here:
Over three days and seven concerts in two locations in the Munch Museum, the cream of Europe's classical music talent gathered to play Tine@Munch - and Classic FM was there to cover the whole thing.
"With an all-star line-up including Nicola Benedetti, Charlie Siem and Leif Ove Andsnes, Tine Thing Helseth's first festival was a smash. Taking place at the Edvard Munch Museum in Oslo, it was a non-stop flurry of concerts with fantastic performances" (Classic FM)
The Norwegian newspapers Vårt Land and Aftenposten were there for the Friday and Sunday concerts, and were also enthusiastic about tine@munch. Especially Tine Thing Helseth's choice of music for the various concerts were commented on, but there also much praise for the participants. Here is some quotes in Norwegian:
Thank you for a fantastic tine@munch 2013 - we hope to see you all in 2014!
